After Weight Watchers, I went to Timberhill Athletic Club and swam in the pool slowly for one hour and then I went upstairs to exercise. I was able to finish 30 minutes on the elliptical runner, 5 minutes on the Nu Step, 15 minutes on the exercise bike, and 15 minutes on the weight machines for arms. Then I headed down stairs when I saw someone from the Tai Chi class who escorted me back upstairs for 45 minutes of Tai Chi.
Tai Chi is relaxing, calming, and continuous movement. Although it is hard for me to consider this serious exercise, it is relaxing and for balance. I remember when my husband and I went on vacation to China with Ocean Pacific Tours in September of 1993, I watched people coming from every corner to a large open square in the early morning light for tai chi. It was extraordinary to watch from our hotel room way up high. Les, my husband had always wanted to walk on the Great Wall in China, which we did. I've always wanted to visit Sweden. Someday I will.
