One of my favorite shops in Pike Place Market is Milagros Mexican Folk Art which features the best of Mexico. This is a really fun shop. Last time I visited, I bought a mola. This is a layered beautifully-stitched applique made in Columbia and the Panama area. I first saw molas when my husband and I went on a cruise through the Panama Canal in the early 90's. I wanted one and I've been wanting one ever since so I bought one at Milagros. I need to frame it and put it on the wall. It's a special memory of the cruise and it is great art that I admire.
So today, I had a fun time talking to Kathrine who is awesome. I wanted a Day of the Dead Christmas ornament.
