2007 Grassroots Survey of Democratic Leaders

I answered a survey that I received in the mail for the National Democratic Party.

My priorities of issues are ranked as follows: 1. health care affordability, 2. ethics in government, 3. protecting the environment, 4. national energy policy, 5. improving public education, 6. stem cell research are at the top of the list.

Here are a few of my thoughts:

We should be educating mothers when they are pregnant and teach them how to teach their children. Gifted children need to be challenged and educated.

Social security should be untouchable. When so many people now live pay check to pay check, how in the world can they be expected to make investments for their future?

We should protect American workers, American jobs, America, and the Constitution.

In 2007, why in the world aren't women equal under the Constitution of the United States?

Why isn't the integrity of the election process protected?

All political leaders need to be accountable. We need ethical leaders who don't make up their own rules when it's convenient.

The elderly need to be protected.

We should not be educating terrorists and allowing them to move in and out of our country freely.

We shouldn't go to war without documenting evidence and without cooperation from all allies. Some leaders in this country seem to love war instead of wanting to build bridges and understanding.
