Car in the Ditch

It's 7:15 p.m. on Monday evening. A car flew in the ditch in front of our property in Alsea over an hour ago. The man standing next to the car in the third photo is the driver of the car. Three trucks from the Alsea Fire Department are out on the road and a Benton County Sheriff's car. The air bags went off causing brusing to the driver. He's receiving medical attention now. The Corvallis Fire Department ambulance arrived to take the driver into Corvallis.
This is a dangerous corner. I don't know how many people have to end up in the ditch before Benton County reroutes traffic to eliminate this corner. This road is unsafe for drivers who frequently end up in the ditch and there is no shoulder for anyone to safely walk this road. Logging trucks and dump trucks go by on this road plus traffic to and from Eugene. People who aren't familiar with this road often end up in the ditch.
It's 8:21 p.m. and the tow truck just pulled the car out of the ditch. They sure make a lot of money on our corner.
